Nieto offers several ways to think about culture. Including:

·         Culture is Created and Socially Constructed

·         Culture is Learned

·         Culture is Dialectical

Nieto also writes, “Understanding the contradictory nature of culture is important if students and teachers are to develop a critical, instead of a romantic, perspective of their own and other people’s cultures.” How does this reading help you understand culture?
