It allows us to examine and explain how and why things occur in our society. Using the scientific method allows sociologist to create results that are reliable, valid and generalizable to the population. For this chapter, you will have to open yourself to testing the information you receive. with this in mind, as you finish reading the chapter think about a social event that you often read about but don’t question.
For this discussion we will exam the Black Lives matter movement.
